The project Hrizg (which means «Pain» in Orc language) was created in 2005 as a solo project of raw Black Metal as I understand it. Full of sorrow, hate, pain and woe. In the same year, I recorded «Oaken Path of Grief» in Khazad-Dûm Studios, which was released one year later by Varjot Productions (Finland) in tape format. This stuff was done very fast. Trying to get the old sound of the style.
In 2007, Wraith Productions (USA) offered me a record deal for it’s re-release with some extra stuff so I recorded more songs, re-designed the artwork and cover and changed the logo for the one that Sasha Leonard (Wraith Productions) did for Hrizg. In the same year, «Oaken Path of Grief» was out in CD format, showing my personal point of view of humanity and my hate for this nowadays society.
Meanwhile, I was working in the split tape with the Greek band Mortuus Caelum. I recorded «Enemy of Weakness» and I released an official video also for the song «Si Vis Pacem Parabellum». This split was out via Final Embrace Records (Spain) in 2008.
In 2009 I recorded «Anthems to Decrepitude», the second full lenght, which I released via Morbid Shrine Productions (my own label) in tape format one year later. This stuff was sent to Moribund Records (USA) and Odin (label owner) sent me a contract for it’s release. It began good discography relationship that still works till today. So, «Anthems to Decrepitude» was released in 2010. I am very proud of this album because of it’s intense darkness and misanthropic atmosphere.
«Inferno» was the next stuff that was released under the Moribund Cult. It happened in 2011 in MiniCD format. In this recording, I added a song «Conqueror of this Wooden Abyss», which was registered in 2008.
After of some talks, Negra Nit Distro released «Throne of the Occult» in 2012 as a 7» EP. This is a very special stuff, because the song «Pain Calls for Pain» is the seed of what lately was performed under the name of Deprive. A Doom/Death Metal track with deep growls and decadent atmosphere.
Some hard moments created the mood for «Individualism» concept, which was recorded during 2013 and released by Moribund Records in 2014. I did everything myself in this album (except for the logo, obviously). The production was a bit clearer and I introduced some extra work in melodies and harmonies. Anyway, I fell that I needed for a change in the band so I turned it into a real band with the addition of Varkhen (Fatal Portrait, Bittencross) on drums, Enserune (Lucifuego, Neverendinghate) on bass and Kaornekan (Bittencross, Fatal Portrait) on second guitar.
After some problems with different rehearsal places, we performed some live shows and recorded «Soterion» for Moribund Records again. This album was out in the last of 2018. Enserune left the band just after it’s recording and then Deimos (Fatal Portrait, Korzo) joined in bass duties.
In 2019 Hrizg did the last gig as a band. After of it, in the last of 2019, I decided to continue Hrizg along with Deimos and Varkhen.
